Terms of Service

Last updated 27 September 2026

The terms you and I are working to. What the free website includes, how the paid plans work, and what I will and will not promise.

Who you are dealing with

These terms are between you and Gareth Page, trading as ClientFair, a sole trader based in Caerphilly, South Wales. Contact: gareth@clientfair.uk, 07447 185798.

Written plainly on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ring me and ask.

The free website

What you get

A website of up to a small number of pages, built from my own template and tailored to your business, published on a ClientFair subdomain, for example yourbusiness.clientfair.uk. Hosting, the address and ordinary upkeep are included at no cost.

What it costs

Nothing. No card details are taken, there is no minimum term, and there is no obligation to buy anything afterwards. If you never take a paid plan, the site stays live and free.

What I need from you

Who owns what

Your content, logo, photos and business information stay yours. The underlying template, code and design system stay mine. You get an ongoing licence to use the finished site while it is hosted with me.

If you want to take it elsewhere

You can. There is a one-off handover fee of £75, which covers exporting the site and helping you move it to your own hosting. The licence above becomes a permanent one for that exported copy.

Fair use

The free offer is one site per business, for genuine trading businesses in my service area. I may decline or withdraw it where a site is used unlawfully, is abandoned, or is plainly being gamed.

Paid plans

Term and cancellation

Monthly plans run month to month. There is no minimum term and no notice period. Cancel any time before your next payment date and the plan ends at the end of the paid month.

Yearly plans are paid once a year at a lower price. You can still leave a yearly plan at any time: I charge the months you have had at the monthly price and refund the rest. For example, leaving Growth after 4 months costs 4 x £327 = £1,308, and the rest of your £3,588 comes back to you.

Either way, your website stays live and free afterwards.

Payment

Fees are payable in advance, monthly or yearly depending on your plan. Prices shown on the site exclude VAT. I am not currently VAT registered; if that changes I will tell you before it affects your bill. If a payment fails I will contact you, and paid features may pause after 7 days of non-payment. Your website itself will not be taken down for non-payment.

Price changes

I will give you at least 30 days’ notice of any price increase. You can cancel before it takes effect. A yearly plan’s price is fixed for the year you have paid for.

Usage

Plans include reasonable use of messaging, calls and automation for a business of your size. Where usage goes far beyond that, I will talk to you before charging anything extra. I will never add a charge without telling you first.

Messages sent on your behalf

Some features send text messages and emails to your customers. You remain responsible for having a lawful reason to contact those people, and for the content of anything you ask me to send. I will not send marketing on your behalf to people who have not agreed to receive it, and I may refuse or stop anything that looks unlawful.

What I do not promise

I will build you a good website and set the tools up properly. I cannot promise a particular number of enquiries, a position in Google, or any specific increase in business. Anyone who does promise that is guessing. What I promise is that the work will be done properly and honestly, and that you can leave whenever you like.

Availability

I aim to keep sites online at all times, but I do not offer a guaranteed uptime figure and I rely on third-party hosting and platforms. I will fix problems as quickly as I reasonably can. I am one person, so urgent issues are dealt with as fast as I can get to them rather than to a contractual response time.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Otherwise, my total liability to you in any 12 month period is limited to the fees you paid me in that period, and for the free website where no fees were paid, to £100. I am not liable for lost profits, lost business, or losses caused by a third-party platform going down.

Ending the agreement

You can cancel a paid plan at any time. I may end an agreement with 30 days’ notice, or immediately where the service is being used unlawfully or abusively. If I end it without cause, I will refund any unused part of the month and help you move the site elsewhere at no charge.

Complaints

Ring me or email me and I will try to sort it. If you are a consumer rather than a business, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything in these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
